$14M for UK pilots for MST
-
Source: Prevention Action
Confidence among UK policy makers in the value of 'proven models' for dealing with antisocial behavior has been given fresh momentum by the announcement that the government is to fund trials of Multisystemic Therapy in up to six sites.
Developed during the 1970s by the Family Services Research Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is described as a family and community-based treatment for young people with complex clinical, social, and educational problems, including violence, drug abuse and school expulsion.

Featured Report: Safer Streets - Cutting repeat
crimes by juvenile offenders
-
Source: Fight Crime Invest in Kids
Too many juveniles are becoming chronic, violent offenders. Nothing will make juvenile crime disappear. have been de-activated. If you encounter any difficulties as a result of this change, please contact the MSTI Help Desk for instructions on re-activating the user. It is expected that any user with an active login account will actually use it (e.g., therapists entering SAMs, supervisors running reports, etc.).
- As of April 17, a link was added to the Enhanced Web site main menu page
that will allow users with supervisor- or expert-level access to go to the Web page

Network Partner Spotlight
What is a Network Partner, Anyway?
There are three different types of Network Partners within the greater MST community. They include:
- Type 1:
Provider organizations that implement MST and choose to develop MST "training capabilities"
- Type 2:
Provider organizations or centers that want to participate in the dissemination of MST
- Type 3:
Systems (DJJ, DCF, etc.) that established Network Partner organizations for the purpose of developing, supporting and providing quality assurance oversight of their network of MST teams
To nominate a program to be the "In the Spotlight," please send an e-mail to Network.Partner@mstservices.com.
